Field Trips
 
          Field Trips are offered in the Spring (late April until early June) 
and in the Fall (late September until early November). We welcome pre-schools,
public schools, private schools, and home school groups.

          Strawberry Field Trips: 
                    Approximately May 10th-June 10th with each child picking
                    their own 6 oz. cup of strawberries.

          Pumpkin Field Trips: 
                    Approximately October 15th November 5th with each child
                    picking their owe small pumpkin.

          We only schedule one school or group per day. 
          Field Trips are generally scheduled from 9:30 am until 1 :30 pm 
                    with a 30 minute lunch break. 
          Private groups are welcome with a 25 child minimum. 
          Field Trips are educational and correlate with current SOL's. 
          Field Trip cost for 2007 are $8.50 per student. 
          A group must call ahead 540-972-2680 for more details and to 
                    secure a reservation. 
          Due to the shortness of season, rain dates are not available. 
          Field Trip participants must dress appropriately wearing comfortable, 
                    secure shoes (no sandals) and play clothes.
 
          This is a real live working farm -- come prepared.
 
          We cannot be responsible for allergies -- come prepared.
          Picnic facilities are available-complete with tent, picnic tables,
                    port-a-pots, and hand washing station. 
          Chicken education is a big part of the Field Trip experience. 
          "Spanky" ----the farm dog---- is part of the Field Trip.
