We carry a variety of delicious fall vegetables, including lettuce, broccoli,
kale, butternut squash, acorn quash, sweet potatoes, and pie pumpkins. If you
are not sure how to prepare a vegetable just ask us at the market. Mama Jo
knows cooking!
With the upcoming feasts in mind, we will also be offering a variety of fun
classes during the month of November. We'll have Cooking Classes so you can
learn how to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal and include all
those "special touches" before the guests arrive! We will also have classes for
Wreath-Making, and for creating Boxwood Topiary Trees & Holiday Centerpieces.
If you're interested, please sign up in our market in advance. Seating is
limited.
Handmade Evergreen Centerpieces available now, to brighten your Thanksgiving or
Christmas Dinner table.
It's still early, but we know that Christmastime is coming! Did you know that
all of our Christmas decorations are handmade with greenery gathered from our
farm?
Count your windows and doors and measure those porch railings! Place your order
for Wreaths and Roping now! We'll have them ready for pick-up on the date you
choose. Wreaths are made in 12", 16", and 20" sizes. Roping is made in 10'
lengths.
Handmade Boxwood Kissing Balls are also available for Christmas or New Year's
Eve parties. Our kissing balls and our centerpieces are made with an oasis on
the inside. The oasis has been soaked in water to keep the greenery fresh and
it will need to be watered once a week to maintain freshness.
Beautiful Poinsettias will be in our greenhouse the first week of December.
Choose from 6", 8", or 10" pots. The 8" and 10" pots have 3 plants in them.
They are available in a variety of colors: red, pink, white, jingle bells, and
winter roses. Add color to your home for the holidays, or use them as a gift.
Speaking of flowers, we still have plenty of Pansies left! Use them in your
yard to add instant color. They are winter¬hardy. Plant now (keep them dead-
headed) and enjoy their color until the heat of summer, or plant one in our
terra cotta pots to add color inside.
