Update on canning tomatoes

The tomatoes we have for sale as canning tomatoes are tomatoes that are unfit to sell retail.  They range from golf ball size to softball size all in the same box.  Some of them are roma tomatoes, and some of them are slicer tomatoes.  It just depends on what we aren't going to sell retail.  All of our canning tomatoes have defects:   their defects consist of splits, squishy spots, wrinkle spots,  and misformed tomatoes.  We do not have a large volume of canning tomatoes at one time.  Usually we only have 1 or 2 boxes.  We will not keep cann

Our supply of canning tomatoes varies.  Sometimes we have a couple of boxes, sometimes we don't have any.  To avoid any disappointment in the amount you get, call ahead to reserve your canning tomatoes.  They are $10.00/box.

Fourth of July

We will be open Sat July 3 from 8 am until 5:00 pm.  After 5:00 visit our honor wagon under the tree by the road for sweet corn, watermelon, and tomatoes.  (The honor wagon will be there Sunday July 4 as well with sweet corn, watermelons, and tomatoes.)  We will have plenty of sweet corn, tomatoes, blackberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, squash, peppers, and hamburgers for your picnic.  Let us help you get ready for the Fourth.  Let us know if you are buying in bulk and we can help you with prices.

Watermelon and Cantaloupe

Watermelon and Cantaloupe are now ready at Miller Farms Market.  Nothing says summertime like Sweet Corn, Tomatoes, Watermelon, and Cantaloupe.  Remember to shop this week for your picnic on the Fourth of July.  We are open Mon - Sat 9:00am - 5:00pm.  After hours you can buy Sweet Corn, Tomatoes, and Watermelon from our honor sysytem wagon, under the tree by the road.  We look forward to seeing you at the farm.

Pick Your Own Blackberries Now

Pick Your Own Blackberries are ready now at Miller Farms Market.  Blackberries are $2.55/lb for pick your own.  You can also find fresh picked blackberries in the market on our farm at $5.00/pt.  Remember we have free parking, free admission, free Southern Hospitality, and containers are provided for you.  You can either get the containers at our market, or you can find them in the red hut beside the strawberry patch.  The blackberries are located across the road from our farm market.  We request that you drive to the patch and watch your children.  No Pet

Vegetables by the bushel

We now have enough volume of some produce to offer bushel or 1/2 bushel prices.  Tomatoes $35 for 25lb box

Squash $15 for tomato box (about 1/2 bushel)

Cucumbers $15 for tomato box (about 1/2 bushel)

Spotsylvania Honey

We are now fully stocked with Spotsylvania Honey.  Our local honey supplier made a delivery at the end of last week.  We now have clover and wildflower honey, honey with comb and honey without comb.  We have honey bees on our farm.  This is the first season for our bees.  Next year we will be able to collect honey from our bees and have our own honey.
