Well
its raining today. Lots to do inside today. We picked all of the ripe
Strawberries yesterday. Strawberries don't like to be wet. We are not
picking Strawberries today, but we still have plenty of Strawberries
from yesterday. Today we are going to tie the tomatoes in the High
Tunnels for the 3rd time. Our second planting of tomatoes are ready to
go in the new Haygrove High Tunnels. The tomatoes will join the Squash,
Green Beans, Yellow Beans, Lettuce, and Spinach that are already in

We
are picking fresh Strawberries for the Market on our Farm today! Busy
today starting to harvest produce for our CSA which begins this week.
Made another planting of sweet corn this a.m. before the rain. Sweet
Corn is having a hard time this year with all of the cool weather. The
weather is sure nice to work in though. Hope to get peppers, tomatoes,
and eggplant in the ground this week. See you at the Farm!

Fresh
Produce in the Market on our Farm today: Strawberries, Asparagus,
Green Leaf Lettuce, Red Leaf Lettuce, and Pac Choi. Pac Choi is a
Chinese Cabbage. It is nice a crisp: eat raw in a salad, stir fry, or a
great last minute addition to soups. More annuals and hanging baskets
have arrived. Remember Mother's Day is next weekend!

Lots
to do today: Once it dries off, we have strawberries to pick, lettuce
and spinach to harvest, cantaloupe, watermelon, sunflowers to plant, and
Christmas Trees to plant. Pick Your Own strawberries are still
waiting. Maybe 10 more days. Remember slow food is good food.

Finished
tying and suckering tomatoes yesterday. Hard to believe that they have
grown 8-10 inches since last week and need to be tied every week until
we start picking. We are busy getting the Strawberry patch ready for
you: pulling weeds and weed eating. Now just for some warm weather to
ripen up the berries. Today we'll make room for the rest of the
Christmas Tree transplants and try to get the watermelon, cantaloupe,
and cukes in the ground. More tomato and pepper transplants arrived
yesterday, come check them out!

Lots
to do, even in the rain: Today we'll tie tomatoes for the second time,
pull the bottom suckers off, and weed in the high tunnels. Nice soaking
rain on all of the Christmas Trees that were planted. Now just need
some sunshine so everything can grow!
