Strawberries
There are probably about 2 - 3 weeks left in the 2012 Strawberry Season depending on the weather. The Strawberry Patch will be open from 8am-7pm Monday - Saturday. We are always closed on Sundays. The rest of the information on this page helps you to know how Strawberry Season unfolds on our farm. The Strawberry patch is located across the road from the Market. We recommend drving to the patch and parking there. When you are done picking you can drive across the road to the Market and check out. Once you are at the Strawberry Patch go to the little red hut and get your container to pick in. This year we are using "Buskets" or flats. The buskets are shaped like a bucket, but they have a plastic mesh like a basket. The best part about the Buskets is that they are made in North Carolina. The Buskets hold 5 lbs of Strawberries. 2 Buskets hold the same amount as 1 flat. The strawberries are $2.40/lb pick your own and $5.25/qt. We are now picking Strawberries for our Market again. We are no longer picking Strawberries for Special Orders.
Stay tuned to the blog on our website, our facebook page, or call 540 972 2680 for up to date information. Remember that our crops are very weather dependent.
