Farmhouse Goulash
Submitted by millerfarms on Tue, 04/13/2010 - 14:19Brown 2 punds Roseda ground beef. Drain and set aside. In same frying pan, saute' one green pepper (chopped), one onion (chopped) and 2 - 4 cloves garlic (minced) in 2 tablespoons olive oil. Once saute'ed add back the drained beef. Then add 2 -3 cups fresh tomatoes (peeled and chopped). Add these seasonings: 1 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper, 1/2 tsp freshly ground nutmeg. Let simmer along on low heat until ready to serve. (a lid on the pan will help keep mixture moist)
Serve over elbow macaroni, egg noodles or other pasta and rice ... your choice.
Garnish with your favorite herbs and freshly grated cheese.
