Roseda is located in Monkton, MD, just north of Baltimore.  You can visit them at www.rosedabeef.com  They focus on grass-fed, grain-finished beef.  Their cattle are from local farms in VA, MD, DE, and PA.  All of their cattle can be traced from start to finish so you know exactly where your beef came from.  Roseda beef is really tender and juicy.  When we grill their burgers or steaks, a little salt and pepper is all that is required.  If you would like to sample their beef we will have sample days scattered throughout the year.

When we place an order with Roseda we have to order a minimum of three sides of beef in order to meet requirements for delivery.  Sometimes there are enough people who want to order that filling orders is not a problem. At other times we have to wait to submit an order for beef until we reach the required minimum amount for delivery. We are now offering an incentive for our customers who wish to receive their beef without delay! If you can get a combined order together (MUST have three sides or more), you will get $50.00 off of your portion of the combined order.  This is a good opportunity to encourage your friends to eat fresh and local beef, and to be rewarded for your efforts to support local agriculture. 

What is a Side of Beef?

One side of beef is approximately 400lbs of hanging weight.  You will get about 220 lbs of meat depending on how you choose to have it cut.  The price is $3.62/lb of hanging weight.

It takes two quarters to make a side.  Six quarters equals three sides.  A front quarter of beef is about 200lbs of hanging weight.  You will get about 110 lbs of meat depending on how you choose to have it cut.  The price is $3.14/lb of hanging weight.

A hind quarter of beef is about 200lbs of hanging weight.  You will get about 110 lbs of meat depending on how you choose to have it cut.  The price is $4.14/lb of hanging weight. 

Once we place the order, it will be approximately 4 weeks until the beef is delivered.  You must be here to pick it up on the day it is delivered because we do not have extra storage space.  A few days before the beef is delivered to our farm, we will contact you.
