Sixth Annual Taste of the Market

Pumpkins
Submitted by millerfarms on Mon, 08/30/2010 - 10:18We have just started harvesting pumpkins. Stop by a take a look at what is new this year. Our pumpkins include Jack O' Lanterns and the Heirloom pumpkins that are featured in Southern Living, Martha Stewart, and Country Home. The pick your own pumpkin patch will open on Sat September 25. Pumpkin patch hours are Mon - Fri 3pm - 5pm, and Saturdays from 9am - 5pm. We offer free parking, and free hayrides to the pumpkin patch.

Sweet Corn
Submitted by millerfarms on Wed, 08/25/2010 - 13:59We will have a limited amount of sweet corn over the next two weeks. Our next two patches of corn are smaller and they are not ready yet. After this period we should have sweet corn until frost. Thanks for enjoying our sweet corn this summer.

Peaches and Apples
Submitted by millerfarms on Sat, 08/07/2010 - 08:57We now have fresh peaches and apples from Jenkins Orchard in Sperryville. Peaches and Apples are available by the pound. If you are interested in 1/2 bushels and bushels let us know and we would be glad to pick them up for you.
We still have plenty of sweet corn and tomatoes. We should have sweet corn and tomatoes for a while. Blackberries will last another week or so.

Update on canning tomatoes
Submitted by millerfarms on Mon, 07/19/2010 - 11:13The tomatoes we have for sale as canning tomatoes are tomatoes that are unfit to sell retail. They range from golf ball size to softball size all in the same box. Some of them are roma tomatoes, and some of them are slicer tomatoes. It just depends on what we aren't going to sell retail. All of our canning tomatoes have defects: their defects consist of splits, squishy spots, wrinkle spots, and misformed tomatoes. We do not have a large volume of canning tomatoes at one time. Canning Tomatoes
Submitted by millerfarms on Mon, 07/12/2010 - 14:32Our supply of canning tomatoes varies. Sometimes we have a couple of boxes, sometimes we don't have any. To avoid any disappointment in the amount you get, call ahead to reserve your canning tomatoes. They are $10.00/box.

Fourth of July
Submitted by millerfarms on Thu, 07/01/2010 - 09:41We will be open Sat July 3 from 8 am until 5:00 pm. After 5:00 visit our honor wagon under the tree by the road for sweet corn, watermelon, and tomatoes. (The honor wagon will be there Sunday July 4 as well with sweet corn, watermelons, and tomatoes.) We will have plenty of sweet corn, tomatoes, blackberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, squash, peppers, and hamburgers for your picnic. Let us help you get ready for the Fourth. Let us know if you are buying in bulk and we can help you with prices.

Watermelon and Cantaloupe

Remember to shop this week for your picnic on the Fourth of July. We are open Mon - Sat 9:00am - 5:00pm. After hours you can buy Sweet Corn, Tomatoes, and Watermelon from our honor sysytem wagon, under the tree by the road. We look forward to seeing you at the farm.
